Hey I might try this some time. It looks to be even more like Echo Night because you spend most/all of the game on a ship.

Well, I got all the endings.
Obviously this game is the best ever. Telepathy that breaks the space time continuum ending in EPIC SUDOKU. What was Akane smoking, indeed.
Okay, so otherwise she burns to death but still.
Kinda sucks Junpei spends the rest of his life alone.
Omega spoiler
They're not on a ship.

The first ending I got was the coffin ending... yes that means I did everything I needed to get the best ending... besides getting the other ending first.... this made me angry.

Real ending was worth it though.

And yes ending three is kinda fucked up.

On the plus side, you unlock an animation showing you exactly which doors to go through for the ending you need to get first.
Sucks if you got every bad ending first like I did though...

Let me guess: Zero Escape is 999 in NA?

Yea, I played this game. Some of the number puzzles drove me up the wall.

What is it with the Japanese and having a main character reduced to soupy meat chunks, then having to find the killer? But the killer/victim is not who you think they are? I can think of several VNs where this happens.

Umm... murder mystery VNs? They just make good subject matter for VNs, I suppose.

And 999 is the first game in the Zero Escape series. Since the new one was announced, they added a series name, Zero Escape. This makes the full American name Zero Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors.

I'm playing Virtue's Last Reward, the sequel to 999. Dear god this is addictive.
