Something kinda similar has happened to me a few times, except the lines were different colors. I just restart the computer and it works fine after that. I suspect the reason is a crucial bit getting corrupted somewhere.

I had these problems on my laptop. The best engineers at an Informatics College Department could not fix it. They pulled it apart, which made it work for a few days than the problem started over

cool... im still at school yups still im y11 almost there till y12 when i can accesses you tube the school i go to blocks you-tube till you y12 which sucks any way i got full marks in my geography catering and all the compulsory subjects all Cs except maths *boo !!!* i got a f last time and this time i got a e this time whoop whoop at least i tried.

yay i got my laptop back it was real fast this with was with pcworlds knowhow team instead of tech-guys.my advice is don't use tech-guys their service is appalling and they take for ever to repair your laptop and all they do is reset your hard drive.
