Also, I'd imagine that most of those guns are held by people who either need them really badly or are just unwilling to give them to you so easily. Or they're just destroyed at this point, who's to say.

Well, there are of course multiple universes where everyone has a portal gun. And where everything is made of portal guns. And where the entire universe is just a portal gun.

Well, many theories in Theories derailed from the original theory and started theorizing about other theories. I think as long as it's still a theory, a theory can derail into another theory and be allowed to stay in Theories.

Actually portal and half life are in the same universe.

 

Yeah, but only canonically. They don't necessarily exist in the same real universe. (although, statistically speaking, there are multiple universes where they do)

There's only one real universe, as far as I can tell.

 

Well, we are of course speaking theoretically.

 

I already knew about portal and half life being in the same multi-verse, it's pretty well known.

 

Maybe it's an alternate dimention of Earth or something like that. I remember watching this show about it, something called "What the Bleep? Down the Rabbit Hole.". It talked about being a bunch of alternate universes or something about the same planets and stuff, but there is one thing big that's different about it.

So maybe it's takes place on an alternate version of Earth, starting 1-27-2127. Something like that. Or something.

 

Considering at the rate that technology is being upgraded, it would be in a few hundred years, but less the a thousand. This is because for there to be true AI machines, much less ones who are physically able to do everything humans can, would take at least 100 years. Then, for anyone to even trust a robot for war...at least 50 years, considering how slow governments tend to be to adopt policies.

And then, Terminator 20 will come out (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger's head) and will get everyone paranoid about robots again, so that will set it back a while too.

 

When does Cave Story take place?

Well, I have an answer to that question.


It won't be too long from now that we have rescue robots, saving our lives in dire need. But they are remote controlled, what if Quote is remote controlled. You control Quote in Cave Story (duh.) but notice how it treats everything as third person? I can debunk this with the fact that the game says "You" quite a bit.

It's clear that we don't have magic in our world, aside from 4Chan and Noxid. So Misery and about 80% of Cave Story wouldn't work... In real life. Consider we live in a world that has magic other than 4Chan and Noxid, Would Cave Story be possible? It's clear that Ballos uses "Magic" to allow the island to float. Or we could create a huge magnet levatator and mess up the atmosphere to get a floating island in real life.

About robots, we are going to be seeing them within the next 20-40 years. So around 2080-2100 is when we'll see Cave Story be semi possible... Or atleast Quote. Now if we lived in a world with magic, It would be even less time from that , I estimate about 2030-2050 if we had magical abilities here, sadly we don't.
