I would like it if Quote would appear in SSB 4, but even if he had the chance, Pixel Turned the offer down when Quote was given the offer to be in Super Meat Boy, so even if Quote has the chance, Pixel will probably say "NO"

If Pixel was given an opportunity to be in SSB4 though I think he wouldn't be contemplating on declining. Although I can guarantee he won't make it as a character, the most we can hope for is a lame Assistant Trophy; if those even re-appear again.

Sadly I can't even see them putting in a trophy from anything of Cave Story. Quote in SSB would great, but it won't happen

The thing is, the trophies have to be either related to nintendo, or one of the characters in the game, so unless they change stuff in this game, he still has no chance.

Quote would make a great candidate, but I think his chances were to be even greater if someone makes a SSB style game featuring characters from indie games.

I would say be either the Balcony or Mimiga village.

As for Quote in general, I would say yes. But the actual chance are very low that he makes it in.
