Or just the average small japanese man.

Oh, and if the comment about Nintendo dying wasn't meant sarcastic, take this:
Nintendo's net worth is $53 billion, Sony a bit less.
Sony's video game branch is making losses and you have to have in mind that Sony is a multimedia company making many products, Nintendo only makes video games.

And computers do everything. Unlike game consoles that only play games, or maybe a few other things.

I never surf the web with my Wii. IT HAS NO VIRUS PROTECTION! And I doubt I could get a virus out of my Wii if I got one.

It's impossible to get a virus on the Wii by conventional means. It would have to be made through scripts in flash that not many knew about until the media blabbed about it.

I would think that JavaScript could give a Wii a virus. But I could be wrong.

Viruses aren't limited to Windows, but it's the most common system with the most security flaws and thus easy to attack. The worst that would come up with a security flaw in the Wii would be a bricker, that still would have to be executed by the user himself. Everyone else would make alternative firmware that allows homebrew and import games.
The Wii has it's own system and uses Opera as a browser, so the worst that could happen would be that the save data of the browser could be deleted or the Wii hangs up. Of course this would be fixed within days.
