• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Ooh, have you got Shine, Shine, Galaxy? And Pixel did that ame_manga thing.
Does anyone have any insights as to how Rain actually works?
Also, there are videos of pretty much all of these games on YouTube.
How did you get the screenshots of Azarashi?

I do have it, but I haven't built the page for it yet.

That will be in there, don't worry.

Rain falls on instruments to make music. Click on instruments to make more music. That's it really as far as I can tell, doesn't seem like it was made as a game, more like an interactive music box.

I prefer playing them to find this stuff out.

It's.. complicated...

I used an app that forces fullscreen games into windowed mode so that instead of a black screen when I screen capture I get a 2-colour (1-bit) black and white image (just pure black or pure white, no grey), I then ripped images (sprite, bacgrounds, etc.) from the exe and started to fully reconstruct screenshots with the 1-bit image as a sort of guide to where I should place things. Problem was that unlike normal black and white, only the pure white comes through and everything else is black.

Hmm. Seems to me it would be simpler to just use CamStudio and then pause the video you take and use that image.
But video compression would kill the image and I don't think it would have comeout any different. Besides, window viewing kills the computer's screen colour down to 8-bit while it is playing, so it wouldn't have turned out good anyway, and I dare you to find a program that can take a screenshot or video while Azarashi is in fullscreen mode. :D

Does anyone here play guxt? I need some help to finish this.

I mean it doesn't matter since forcing azarashi into windowed mode screws up the colours, not as bad as when I try to screenshot it but either way only leaves me with reconstructing the screenshots as my only option.

Help with Guxt? I might be able to do this.. be aware that I never finished it though.
On second thought, maybe I'll help make Megane. Yeah, I'll create the Megane page.

"Shine, Shine," is the Japanese equivalent of "Die, Die".
So "Shine, Shine, Galaxy" is a Japlish title.
"Die, Die, Galaxy" is its proper English name.

Hmm.. but the majority of internet searches hit "Shine, Shine, Galaxy". Oh well, I have a solution that should work for everyone.

Then what's Galaxy in Japanese? :D

If theres a significant bit of English in the title, the whole title should be in English, considering that "Shine" is actually a proper English word, and the fact that it actually sounds appropriate in context =P

You'll probably want to add a link to GermanSeabass' sheet music on the Music Downloads page.
Edit: More stuff to add:
Spanish translation patch (http://cavestory.gafapasta.com/)
English translation of Shine, Shine, Galaxy (http://community.livejournal.com/doukutsu/70783.html, the link is dead but if someone can contact UFO-Z that'll work)
Play as Curly patch
The old version of the Cave Story mac port (v0.0.6) that will run on older computers
Balrog Papercraft
Ame Manga (http://community.livejournal.com/doukutsu/79426.html)
100 Kitties
