i have several questions regarding it....

1, should i do this? will it appeal to everyone

2, what kind of run should i do? 3 HP, 100%, any%, ect.

3, will doing a multi-segment run be alright? i will be uploading each segment to youtube with the time it took to finish that said segment in the description

4, any speed tricks you know of? ex: you dont have to talk to this person to go here, ect. anything's fine, because there are things im unaware of, im sure

sorry if this seems rushed, i'm a bit caught up in something

1. I'd watch it, depending on how well you play
2. Doesn't matter
3. Go ahead
4. Watch Chaddykin's minimal speedrun

No. It must be taken in any run.
You can't meet Chaco in Sacred Grounds.

1. Work on improving your speed first before recording and/or uploading (:

2. I think you should star off with 100%, otherwise it's really hard

3. no probs

4. There are a ton of them, but they're hard to master. Check out videos on YouTube.

Nah, you could prolly pull it off somewhere inbetween, ignoring the life capsules that require you to go too far out of your way. Lessee...

If you grab the life capsule in the first cave, but ignore both in the egg corridor and the Yamashita farm... EC on 6HP shouldn't be hard... grab the one in the first half of Grasstown but not the second half... get both in the Sand Zone since they're both not far out of your way... brings you up to 21 HP by the Labyrinth... get the one there, that's 26... after which there's the two in the Plantation... depending on how much time you're willing to give up, that's either 26, 30, 31, or 35 HP going into the end of the game...

Well, see what works for you.

If this is your first speedrun attemp though, I say go full into it. It's hard enough completing the game with anything less than 55 Hits, let alone timing yourself.

If you're experienced and comfortable with speedrunning, I say go with Lyger.

Giving up on getting items is hard enough. No life capsule is out of my way.

i've done some speed-runs in the past, i have an never-to-be-finished metroid prime 2 speed-run and some others i've done so long ago that ive forgotten

and i've grown a liking to tool-assisted speedruns, so i know a thing or two about entertainment and sequence breaking

ill consider doing a 100% run first off, then try beating chaddykin's minimal items run

Fine, but it's still way to go. Move on. and if you hacked your max hp to 1, I doubt you'd have that 4 secs. I have yet to see Chad's though

Whut missing segments? Some of them disappeared since I last checked? =O

Egg Corridor is just linear. You can almost literally just hold the right arrow key, and the rest of the time just jump, aim, and shoot. Doesn't get much faster than that.

All my segments are there, use the archive.org links.

My egg corridor segment wasn't that good, a few of my other segments aren't that good as well, I'll admit that I rushed my first speedrun.

But if you beat mine I'll defintally be up for making it much better =o

Lol ironic. You "rushed" your first speedrun.

I know what you mean... but it's still funny wording. :p

Yeah heh.

I had thought about re-doing it but there wasn't much motivation.

awesome dood.

I'm interested in seeing how you do your speedrun =o

If there's any questions in particular you'd want to ask about doing the speedrun feel free to ask >.> I.E. what weps to use, why, etc etc...and I'll give my opinion on it.
