The Witch's House (Majo no Ie) is a freeware puzzle-oriented horror game by Fummy made in RPG Maker VX.

The young Viola visits a mysterious house in the woods.
She soon discovers its dangerous nature and must find a way out.
But the house is ever-changing, and death could be lurking anywhere...

(Be aware that some elements of the game are somewhat violent.)​

So yeah, this is a pretty fun game, and you should play it. It can be pretty hard at times, and there's a hidden "true" ending.

Right before you leave the house, go to the room you first picked up the teddy bear in. In the closet there's a knife, grab it, then leave the house. That's how to get the true end.

Finally got around to playing this on this dreary day...

...? There's a no-save ending? ...
*Plays all the way to the poison, and the ending right in sight... THEN A SKULL POPS OUT FOR NO REASON RIGHT NEXT TO ME AS IM EXITING* QUITQUITQUITQUITQUITalt+f44444444444444

Looking at the first post, you probably shouldn't have told everyone about the hidden ending without spoilers though D: Didn't want anyone to miss out on the cold, hopeless truth I fun I guess ;P

Yeah, that ending... I hate it when

you play through an entire game and only near the end there's the "shocking twist" that your character was a terrible monster all along.

I would actually find very interesting to knowingly play as a villainous character, but the last minute reveal just feels like the game's trolling you "Oh you thought you did something just? That you made good prevail over evil? WRONG!!! U MAD?"

This especially annoys me in (spoiler from another game that's pretty similar to this one)

Mad Father, in which you have three endings to choose from: Ending A - you die. Ending B - you die and the main villain lives. Ending C - You live and become just as evil as the villain.

Gee thanks, now I feel I accomplished a lot.



But anyway, yeah I prefer the standard ending for Witch House (ignorance is bliss *lol*). It was a pretty nice game, though I wish it didn't have so many "beginner's traps" (stuff you simply have to know ahead of time as you aren't given much of a chance to react the first time it happens... if any).
