"The Islands Junk is Stored Here"!

Hello,
This thread is about the room in the game where "the islands junk is stored". I CANNOT GET OUT!!!!!!!!! I am using the Wii version and just can't get out! I would like to start a discussion of ways to get out! Please join in as it takes skill and patience.

Just as a reminder it is the room with all the ledges and you have to get to the top where there are moving blocks and flip a switch to open the door at the bottom. First of all, what would really help is if someone would at least tell me what side of the room (left or right) the switch is on. Also, what is the easiest route to the top? Thanks so much! I love the game and don't want to stop playing it because of one room.

You are supposed to climb to the top right corner. It does not matter which way you go, as long as it is up. At the very top, there are horizontal moving blocks so it is very easy to switch from left to right.

The following is the easiest, and the only, way to get to the top.

You should certainly play La Mulana. If you think that Cave Story is difficult to navigate, you will have a lovely time with LM.

Also did OP really try to link us pictures from their HD? Woushi/Jen, that doesn't work. I'm glad you had the foresight to link to someone's screenshot Let's Play as well.

 

Actually, no they didn't. What they did was hosting the image on localhost, which, while smart, still doesn't work.
They essentially tried to host it on their own router.

 

I still don't know what kind of system gives you file://localhost as a URI
maybe a different browser or something

 

I didn't have trouble going through this part the first time I played Cave Story. Just saying.

 

I don't think anyone who ever played this game ever had any trouble... ever. Until this thread showed up. Congrats on being the first person on the Internet who couldn't solve this puzzle and had to ask for assistance!

Congrats on being the only person on the forum to belittle someone for belittling someone. But what belies a dick? "The Islands Junk is Stored Here"! refers to something Captain Fab has that is already very belittled for some reason.

There are so many things wrong with this sentence. I guess you didn't notice all those "help I'm stuck in the boulder chamber/where's Curly" threads.

 

I meant trouble with climbing that particular room. Not with any certain part of the game.

If this were a person who refused to listen to advice, or outright insulted you when you tried to help, then I would be inclined to condone your tirade, but even then it would be immature and childish.
Given the actual circumstances I'm just disappointed.

 

I remember when I was stuck there; found out if you fall from the top, your legs break and it starts up a bad ending with the blue robot ;_;
