Easter's usually in April.
No one knows when Jesus was born, some Romans picked December 25th in 354 AD to celebrate it, so that it would co-incide with one of the old Roman festivals. Signs point to Jesus being born in spring.
But like I said, why celebrate someone's birthday on the anniversary of their birth? Why couldn't I go have a party to celebrate me turning 18 RIGHT NOW?

 

Dude, there's one holiday that celebrates his birth, it's his birthday. That's what I grew up with, that's what I celebrate. Fuck you and your facts.

Looks like in all the New Years hype there were some missed birthdays...
Yesterday was a triple birthday, so happy birthday to Roonil Wazlib {17}, Shiranui, and kingsamurai {14}!
And is it just me or does the Calender not want to move on to the new year?

I guess 2010 was the end of time, and not 2012.
In all seriousness though, I've noticed that I was unable to advance past the end of the year in the calendar for a while now, but I had hoped it would rectify itself once the year changed.

Well, the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, but MINE ended yesterday. Since mine is more up to date, I really expected the apocalypse last night. Maybe it already started in some third world country? Or Moose Jaw?
