On that note, a lot of cave story's bosses make use of the <CNP command, so it's most likely your balrog started somewhere on top of the screen, landed, and was then subsequently changed into "boss balrog" when the player said "yes" to his offer to fight.

So make sure to take a look at both the script and the entity in the level, so you know what's what.

At the end of the event delete it with the <DNP command.

In your case, I'd say give the flags "Dissapear after flag ID is set", and "option 2"
