damnit i didnt mean for this to turn into a flame war
i just wanted to make atopic on what could be avoided

also
i dont know if i should add this but
having to get 3-5 health container parts just to get about 2 lousy health points

Aww, then you won't like "Chaos mode" in my mod when it's done.

Hard mode: Various death-spikes in certain areas; start with 3HP, life-ups give +3 each.

Chaos Mode: Same as Hard mode; You start with 1HP, and life-ups give +1HP each. >;P

Anywho

- Giving away the Booster 2.0 without 0.8 before hand.

- (In most cases) Having the Booster 2.0 easy to get as a part of the storyline, rather than hidden.

- Neglecting to make your own credits

- Using the same music for two completly different game areas.

i didn´t say , that I wouldn´t like it, i just said, that 2 health points are better than one.

any way

not bothering to change the boss sprites

not testing areas to make sure you can get passed them(like having a platform one tile too high)

Having areas which can be accessed by getting hit by monsters, but shouldn't. Like Jenka's Nightmare and the Grasstown glitch in CS.

Oh and, if you make your character start in the water, ohohoho (SANTA CLAUS THE HORRORS), he dies automatically.

Oh lol.

Also, if you character so happens to have to jump on 3 or more monsters with only a starting amount of hp of 3 to continue in the game.

There, fixed that for you :D

Not playtesting your mod before releasing is what causes many of the problems described here.

Grammar and spelling errors can also really ruin some dialogue, so it's good to at least spell check your writings.

Why would that ruin your mod? There are several people's mods that came before the weapon hacking FAQ got released. o.o
