Wasn't sure if this was a game or not, so...
It's like 20 Questions, except the answers right 99.99% of the time.
Go ahead and try it, he's guessed everything right from me: Quote, Horny from Dungeon Keeper, Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3; answer the questions correctly and he'll almost always know what you're thinking.
Awesome and addicting.

This is pretty old, but yeah. It is addicting. I have stumped him a few times though.

Wow, I didn't think it would actually work, I guessed Balrog and he got it right. Sure to use this more often :muscledoc:
Edit: And Misery.

Well they are really common characters so it's no damn surprise. If you're gonna do anything popular he is obviously gonna get it.

Unless you can think of a really vague and unimportant character or element, he will guess it.

I discovered Akinator last summer. He guessed Sasha, Epona, Uboa and every first-gen Pokemon I could think of. Thanks to these forums, he now knows every Cave Story character of interest as well.

I picked up a relatively obscure book and looked through it for the most obscure character I could find. He didn't guess it in 40 guesses, and on the list of potential answers at the end, only one character on the list was from the book in question.

edit: oddly, he didn't get John Faa from His Dark Materials, and he's not that obscure.

The Golden Compass isn't hard enough science fiction for real nerds, regardless of the bad-assery of certain gypsies.

He's really easy to beat - a bunch of the books I read are obscure.
It was funny to see him try to deal with Hermaphroditus tho. Kept asking me whether they were a boy or a girl.

Stiklas

That's the beauty of the Akinator.
Though, you may stump him, you can also teach him from that. {Hope you're all adding these obscured references you're saying}
He was obviously a lot easier to stump when he was first created, but with each new person added to the database, he gets smarter. I added a few characters myself, already.

Re: Stiklas

I stumped him 47 times last night. Sure that is going to piss people off when they try those 47 no name characters and it gets them.

That's interesting.

I found out about this a long time ago. O:

Right after he asks me if my character is dead, and I say no, he asks me if my character committed suicide... wtf?

But did he still get it?

Re: I'd bet yes

I've done the same person a bajillion times in a row in hopes of increasing his datapile so that he can actually get the person. Akinator proves remarkably dumb.

Those who search for flaws find them

You really can't do it yourself, though you could probably make better questions and such for him...
He can get Captain SNES, and he's only had him asked 48 times so far.
