Hey, your an admin, so you've seen a lot of mods. How do you get your mod noticed without begging or randomly spamming about it?
That's all they do on youtube if they aren't pewderz.

Well, I'm not an admin (neither is Noxid though, he's a moderator), but one thing that sometimes helps is giving constructive feedback to other people's mods. Doing so will make them thankful, and in some cases they might return the favor by playing your mod. The more effort you put into making your review helpful and insightful, the more likely the modder will be to return the favor. This doesn't always work, though, so always be sure to play it cool; acting like they owe you for reviewing their mod will make them less inclined to try your mod out.

keep in mind that most of the people on the forums (to my knowledge) read literally every new post so advertising your mod in places other than its own thread is a bad plan

:D Bonjour! I have done little to nothing for T.T, but I plan to do something today, so be aware. Uh.. that's about it, happy to see this elderly thread is still a hot topic.

sorry to burst your bubble but it really doesn't mean anything, something can't "un-become" a hot topic.

First of all, before I play this I have to ask,
Why are there so many unnecessary files!
All you really need is data, DoConfig and Doukustu.
Also, most people prefer windowed over "Full 32 bit".

The new areas look very sharp.
I suggest you make it look more cavernous.

Other than that, I liked the new sprites and such.
The title screen looks nice too.
How did you make the title screen have a background?

Is Aar here right now?
The first boss starts attacking before the boss fight starts.
The boss should be a null entity that is changed to the boss entity
when you trigger the fight. The boss fights are ridiculously easy.
There should also be more than one save point.

Yeah, but i can still point out stuff right?
Aar did teach me about unnecessary files through his Ronald Dump Cake Escapade
video. Credit to him, I guess.

Config.dat is also very necessary if you don't want your mod to be fullscreen

DoConfig makes the config.dat file. It is still annoying that I have to open DoConfig to change to windowed.

Aar, let aar due his job.

That's why config.dat is necessary to have (if you want windowed by default)

Aar, let aar due his job.
Shit
Sorry, Aar.

Well shit, I haven't been back to this in a while, and now I knida feel bad for not responding to the feedback after 0.0.7, so let me make it up to you by making 0.0.8! And I'll fix up the lacking save and (apparent) boss difficulty. I find the latter strange because I was afraid the bosses would be too difficult. And yeah I'll make it windowed. I just always found it slightly less immersive if i just plaster a window on your screen and not the big screen though. Also Camero, yeah I definitely need help with the bosses on here. They've been painstaking to make stable enough to fight and yet they still fight you as soon as you drop in. As usual, thanks for playing!

My God, such memories... But Technomancer's Tale kinda died out. I didn't update it because I didn't want the concept to simply be a mod.. So now I've taken some time and I've learned to use Game Maker, and thus I made a small tech demo with the game, and I want to push this concept further into its own game. I wont update much though, but thank you all for the feedback and putting up with my stupidity for a bit. As usual, thanks for playing.
