Stuck in Lebyrinth

If it's of any significance, I have Cave Story downloaded on my 3Ds.

Anywho. . .

So I just defeated Monster X, Professor Booster just fell down into the room or whatever. I'm purposely avoiding talking to him because I'd like the good ending. I jump over the canyon and go into the room with the large boulder annnnddd. . .
Nothing happens.
No Curly.
No boss.
Nothing.


I've gone back to the clinic and talked to everyone, I definitely already killed that "ghost" and got the "Cure all" and whatnot.
So I can't figure out wth is going on or what I'm supposed to do.

On a second save file, I HAVE talked to Professor Booster and he died and gave me the jet-pack thingy. And it's the same situation on that file. Nothing happens when I enter the room with the giant boulder.

Help please! T_T

 

Follow these instructions:
-go into clinic
-talk to doctor
-talk to nurse
-talk to curly
-leave clinic
-go into clinic
-talk to doctor
-talk to nurse
-go to boulder chamber

Do it exactly as listed above.

Well this was certainly productive.

 

In any game I play where an event takes place I always have a habit of re-entering that place to see if anything changed so this didn't happen to me.

Though it can easily happen so it is understandable you got stuck. I wonder if any of the other Cave Story Forum members we have here had the same problem.

I thought you only had to talk to Curly twice. I doubt it differs from version to version, hm. Maybe I'll try next time I play on my 3DS.

 

Happened to me too in the + version forgot that i had to talk to them again.

 

It's because you're in the Lebyrinth, you have unlocked the Typo Ending.
