Yeah I think it could use more volume envelope stuff, especially at the beginning before the percussion comes in. Most of the rest was really nice. I think it might sound better sped up just a wee bit (I tried changing the wait from 153 to 145 and it sounded better imo).

Hmm. I really love this song actually, and it would be perfect for the game I'm making. Would it be possible for me to use it/tweak it a little bit and use it in my game? I think it really hits the atmosphere I want for the town section of the game.

Thanks!

Sure. That's fine with me.

Does anybody think that this lead track would be anywhere near possible to imitate in an ORG?
http://www.mediafire.com/?yvbvp7u1dcuvlhp
It'd be near possible. You'd have to have a super short wait time in order to be able to do the slides and volume and stuff properly. You'd also have to have at least two and maybe even three or four or five tracks which do the melody (though they wouldn't all be doing it at once all the time). You can kinda fake a slide in pitch or timbre by having two tracks playing simultaneously at different pitches or timbres and having one fade in and the other fade out. For example, in this org, notice what I did with tracks 5 and 6 (6 and 7 if you use 205) in bars 28, 30, 33, and 34.

And what do you think of this so far?

Very nice! The chords have a nice brassy timbre that I don't hear too often in organya, and there's a great catchy jazzy rhythm. I didn't know you were so good at making orgs lmao :o I'm guessing you're going to add percussion eventually

Volley is usually pretty good at making his notes fade in and out like that. I'll try looking at some of his orgs to try to do it.

Oops. You're giving me too much credit. That wasn't original. Sorry, I forgot to mention that. -_-' I copied that tune from an old Sonic game.
I usually add percussion after the melody.

Here's the finished versioin with percussion.
...Actually, let me change the bass volume really quick. Here we go-

It's a kind of weird beat, so it makes it kind of hard. I think it's okay, though.

You realize, of course, that everything from bars 49-112 in spire is basically a remake of Shinra Company (FF7).

It's good as usual, cheesey. You really ought to post these on youtube or something.

[EDIT]: Percussions sounds good brian, just be wary of what percussion you use if you want to use this org in a mod. If not, well then disregard that I guess.

Yeah, it's really good; the percussion really makes that song!

I did not know that, thanks for letting me know. (edit: Xaser's 7/8 rhythm makes it cooler, though :()

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. I may do that at some point, though there are some things that I'd like to clean up first.

If you like the tune, check out this remix of it:

I dare you to listen to it all the way through. :( (Or at least from 2:42) I decided to make the org after hearing this. I've never heard a remix done so well before. It's actually a combination of 2 variants of the tune. The part I did is about 2 thirds of the way through.
Just in case you want to compare, I'll post the link to the original again:

Yeah, that is really cool, and the second part does sound more like yours at least in terms of tempo.

That is one kickass remix (that I discovered before you posted this, but just a couple of days before).
