If you ask me, it looks more like some of the Izuna:LOTUN faces. The origins of inspiration doesn't really matter to me, though.

That's right, I said inspiration. I believe Tee Esh simply used a similar style of artwork for the faces rather than directly taking content from MMBN or LOTUN.

So I kinda scrapped it and made a new mod. :/

It was a bug I think. The Door that damages you if you touch it? It keeps taking damage and never gets destroyed.

BTW, I suggest you make a more Cave Story like sprite or search for one. While I like the style, it'll look outta place unless you make all the other sprites for your mod the same way, including Quote and Curly.

You mean the sprites, or the facepic? I'll assume you mean the facepic since the sprite fits in fine, as it's just an edit of Quote. Anyway, if you mean it's size, not ALL the portraits show only the front of the face. Look at the mimigas, Booster, Misery, and Jenka, they're about the same size as mine actually. Or do you mean the shading? I meant to do the shading like Pixel's, but it's not perfect by any means, got any tips on shading like he did?

You are right in that I didn't edit directly from either of those games, but what I really did was rather heavily edit Curly's mugshot for that one. The only thing that really stayed was her shoulder. This was also the first one I have edited, so now the characters are fully done from scratch.

I might try doing a touch up on those images either tonight or tomorrow. They are almost perfect but lack anti-aliasing in some areas.

And I mean the style. Yours is more a rough art style whereas Pixel's are anime style.

Oro? lawl yeah, but it isn't that mutch. Fine IMO.

And I'll say it again that I love the facepics by Tee. For the first time a Cave Story mod has shoujo style art. Epic Pwnz.
