Should there be a "Reviews" section on the Tribute Site?

If anyone wants the option to submit their own reviews of Cave Story or any other Pixel games then I could make a section on the site for it, but only if you guys really want it.

I ain't gonna write any reviews, but it'd be nice to read what others have to say about Cave Story, so yes.

Not really? :/ I don't so much see the point of having new reviews for a game that's 4.5 years old on a site where basically everyone loves it anyway. At this point I think everyone would be able to tell whether or not they liked CS without needing to look up or write reviews. As for an exercise in creativity? ...Meh.

Pretty much agree with Doublethink. I would imagine any kind of reviews on a Cave Story Tribute site would be kind of biased...juuuust slightly

Reviews on a more neutral site would likely be taken more seriously.

 

The arguments against the Review section seem to hold more weight. So no reviews section.

 

So are you telling that a site being a Nintendo Website it's doomed to have "biased" reviews.
Well being i visitor of some of them i can say that there are decent ones out there, why this one (that also focus in some specific part of gaming) can't be too on reviews?
This thing just needs some small quality control. If the points are clearly supported, everyone can have it's own opinion. (Seriously, or else we will have an astronomic amount of text from different users that says the same thing over and over.)
And this is not about just reviewing "Cave Story" (that would be lame to have an section just for reviewing one game).
It's about reviewing other Pixel works too.
And i suggest also make reviews of (finished and completed) fan mods.
that well good fan mods will have some coverage.

Oh and BTW, as a fan of some series i usually read reviews more specific of that franchise. and i usually trust these more (if they clearly support their points with facts, and as mutual fans they usually know whats good on there and whats missing there that is a important part of the series.).
I think it's obvious by the name of the site that people will expect this kind of reviews.
And i think this will help on the wiiware version, CV "lovers" will want also to hear the opinion of mutual fans (not biased-blind-mindless-fanatics ). not just general reviews.

No, no, no, NO^NO.

Making mods become officially held to the standards of others will never be a good idea. Not only would it raise doubts about the unofficial nature of the site's modding endeavours, it would bring up the whole issue of standards (for both mods and reviews) and objectivity. I'm not knocking personal opinion; people can like what they want, or even be as biased as they want, because it makes no difference. A review system will not be worth the effort needed to maintain properly, nor be worth dealing with the arguments that will inevitably ensue.

The site has a Cave Story Discussions Forum for a reason - so people can discuss Cave Story there :> Reviews just aren't a necessary addition to the site, nor will they add anything of real value.

Eh, DT makes a convincing argument, making a reviews section of the tribute site might be redundant since we already have the forums. Best to keep discussion in one place to avoid confusion.
