1.) What would it be like? Different? The Same?

2.) Would it be a movie or show?

3.) What production company would probably make it? Examples:

This thread has been created countless times.

Studio Ghibli does original work, as far as I've seen. It wouldn't fall into that category AT ALL.

If it was like Nayrootoe then I would probably keel over and die.

If Cave Story was an Anime, it would most likely be terrible. Video game-to-anime adaptations, don't really work..from what I've seen at least.

Nope it would NOT work. And either way i dont think any studio would think of adapting cave story into an anime.

Spirited Away is my favorite childhood anime.

Then again I'd have a hard time naming even three animes I've seen while most of you people, can easily name twenty three.

You guys should think about it this way. If CS was an anime - that is, if it was an anime, and not a game - what would it be like? If it was designed to be an anime, I think it might have a chance.
Wait, not an anime series, but an anime movie.

Okay, but would you say the same thing if a friend told you about a cool new game called Cave Story?
Or do you mean since you've already played cave story?
Also, would this thought mean exactly like CS, or fit to be a perfect-ish anime?

Follow the adventures of a mysterious robot that wakes up in a cave!!! And he explores!!! Also he meets rabbit people, but we call them Mimigas.

I'd try it if someone recommended it to me, but it has a premise that makes sense mostly for a videogame.
