Server Was Down Since Tuesday

I was informed today by andwhyisit who told me that the server forums had some kind of error since Tuesday and asked me "andwhyisit" down. I apologize for any downtime that occurred. The source of the problem is unknown to me, but I'll look into it when I get a chance.

Anyhow, everything should be working normally now.

I think some posts were gone or something. Because I distinctly remember replying to some threads but I can't see the posts.

I can confirm that. Specifically, it seems that all the posts made after 3:33 AM on Tuesday were lost.

Including my save poll, but at least we still have a forum to post in, and I am thankful for that.

 

Our host had a server crash. When they re-adjusted it, it messed up the database a bit requiring a database restore up to just before the crash. If there are any posts gone, it can't be helped I'm afraid. They told me that it's unlikely to happen again. Hopefully they were being truthful about that.

For future reference:
To delete a post you will need to click on the edit button for that post, choose "Delete Message" and hit the "Delete this Message" button.

 

But in some places we can't even edit our posts. Like here.

 

I did not even know the forums were down!

 

The server was down just prior to the topic's creation not when it was last posted in.

Based on which this topic would be better served by being locked.
