Searching For Spring

You accepr Kanako's offer.

Soon you, Wriggle and Kanako end up drinking tea together. You chat a bit, with her, blank space stuff, and you feel rested.
Through the conversation, you find the kid was trying to steal the mountain to make a pun out of it.
You finally prepare to get going.
Kanako waves you off, and you enter FOREST OF ABSOLUTE DEMISE.

It is very dark, and chilly at that.
You continue walking the path, and it forks into three.

"What do we do?" Wriggle asks.

 

Take the path less travelled by.

 

Look for signs of the Three's passage and follow the relevant path.

 

You scout the ground and barely manage to see a single footstep on the RIGHT path. You and Wriggle decide to head down there.

You are walking, and the forest seems to get darker and darker...

You hear and see a snowball whiz past you. You look behind, and Wriggle defensively says it wasn't her, her face pale.

if there is nothing: Advance on wriggle as if you are about to kiss her(to restore color to her face) but then just feel her forehead to see if she is feeling well

 

She was looking at you. You look at yourself. You feel cold, and your body shivers.
"Can we keep going?" She asks.

 

Say yes, but ask her to keep her guard up. Continue traveling down the path, but a little more warily and with slight haste.

 

You tell Wriggle to stay on guard.

You hastily but carefully carry on.

You feel a breeze. You cannot see the sky now, even though the sun is supposed to still be up for a bit longer.

The path splits into an alarmingly large fork - five paths. All of them are littered with footprints, but not human. Something big.

Something that chills your spine.

 

Do a 360-degree turn, then keep walking foward, into the middle path.

 

You continue down the middle path after a 360° turn.

Fears creep into your mind.

You imagine Wriggle dead on the ground. It can't escape your mind.

A cave appears, suddenly. You see a light emitting from inside.

Give Wriggle one of our 4 Extra Lives (If they'll actually work for her...).

 

Try to initiate a conversation with Wriggle, just to keep both of you at ease, and continue into the cave ever so warily.

 

Wriggle is fine - thankfully it was still just your imagination, but you can still feel an after-image.

You initiate a random topic about pinecones, and you both enter into the cave. You head towards the light.

The light ends.

Total darkness.

There is no sound.

You hear Wriggle whimper. "My lights aren't working!"

 

Turn around 180 and backtrack. Test this disappearing light phenomenon once you are back outside.

Heat and light are very similar energy types, so this loss of light might be related to the loss of heat.

 

This doesn't seem good; try to escape unscathed from the spooky ominous cave.

 

You start to try to run back, holding Wriggle's arm.

You run for a bit, but you are blinded and still lost in the cave.

You may actually be stuck.

All is black.

 

Put your left hand on the wall and follow it. Never remove your hand from the wall or backtrack until you can see again.

 

Turns out that there is no wall.

You cannot see far at all.

You hear a voice softly wailing in the distance.

 

With no walls and no light and no knowledge, the voice is as good a direction as any. Walk towards it, always holding on to Wriggle.
