Searching For Spring

You run up to the demon and attempt to leap and swing at it. It hits, but the demon does not flinch even with the apparent wound. You try again from its neck, but it still doesn't stop.

You try telling Wriggle to transform and fly away, but she tells you that if she could, she would've done it before. It seems like the demon's hold is strong.

You attempt to flick a bomb.
It doesn't activate.

"You will be gone from this world, and your power shall become mine!!" The demon yells, ready to shoot a beam of some sort towards you.

He gets hit by your axe and roars, dropping Wriggle in the process.

He's not fast enough to turn and hit you moving at full speed, right?

 

Since the demon's hold over Wriggle isn't a physical one proceed to grab Wriggle and run.

Also note if the demon is losing any blood. He may still succumb to blood loss.

 

I literally f***ed up sorry, he DID happen to drop Wriggle. But y'know, everything around you is a void.

You proceed to jump back, aim for the Demon's head, and proceed to throw your axe in an epic manner such as this

As expected, the axe flies with an extreme amount of rotations. It hits the demon hard, moving its head to the side. It's jammed in the Demon's jaw. It starts tilting its head towards you, however ready to shoot. You run behind it, grabbing Wriggle.

Suddenly, a beam shoots from the demon! The beam is too big to dodge...
You brace for impact.




Suddenly, as you think the beam is hitting you, you head a heavy clank in front of you...
Momiji is in front of you, her shield massively larger than when you last saw it, deflecting the beam!
The beam stops shooting, and she commands you to get your axe. "We don't have time, hurry up!"

 

Jump kick the demon in the eye, grab and yank the axe out by pulling with your arms and pushing with your feet.

 

Attack the Demon's eyes by whatever means necessary. Don't stop until the demon is blind. Then once he can't hope to hit you or avoid you, death by a thousand cuts.

 

Also, follow any orders that Momiji gives you.

 

You proceed to jump to the demon and pull out the axe with your newfound strength and determination. You see Wriggle attempting to annoy the demon by flying around him while being small, and Momiji runs up to the demon's shoulder as well. You both hit the demon's eyes, and start attacking him repeatedly, him hissing over and over.

He is in great pain, but he thrashes and the two of you fly off. With the demon's last strength, he tries to slam his large fist on you, but Momiji deflects. You attack when he freezes, and eventually, he breaks down with his face on the cold ground.

He is wheezing.

You question him about your surroundings, the demon himself, how you got to the cave abyss and how to escape, along with the winter.

He wheezes harder, this time seeming to bleed with each death.
"END ME, PLEASE, JUST KILL ME...!" He barely manages to speak it out.
"It doesn't seem like trying to ask him will do anything," Momiji says. "This may be some sort of Arena or Dungeon that the demon set up. Too bad he underestimated you. Also, he was dumb enough to leave the one-way gate to this place open as he was fighting you."
"But why did all this happen? I mean, his attack?" Wriggle asks.
"Well, knowing how you suddenly attracted abnormal attention from other things, like from that gave..." She coughs and turns to you. "...You may be an important key to something - where they want you destroyed. Which is why he locked you in here.
However, I think that in order for us to leave, we have to kill the demon."

The demon is pleading for mercy by death.
