While digging through my collection of floppy disks, I came across this gem:
Scorched Earth

If you like those classic artillery games with the multitude of bizzare and over-powered weapons, you'll like this game.
Yes, this is an OLD DOS game.

I used to play scorched earth all the time, it was one of my favourite dos games, theres plenty of games with this style of game play though, pocket tanks sorta is the same style except without the awesome extra stuff (like in SE with the buying stuff, shields, parachutes, and large weapon amount)

and plus you have to buy it, the only real plus of this game is the better graphics, but yeah scorched earth is way better and comon up to 8 players :eek: awesome fun

scorched earth has 10? oh i thought it was 8, silly me

Urgh you only have the shareware version??? dammit now im gonna go get the real one, even if it only gives you one extra tank lol

Here's another scorched earth that you might be interested in :
Scorched Earth 2000 is a remake of the old classic game by Wendell Hicken which was very popular in the early 1990s. This version is relatively close to the original but adds online multiplayer support (up to 8 people), high scores table and a community big enough to make finding opponents easy.
