I was thinking about something, and came up with this idea:

Making it possible to make Threads Public or Private?

Like, if you want your thread Public, you can click the button Public.

Or, If you want it Private, you can click the button Private.

These two options can be seen under the Quick Reply Message.

Is this okay to add as an option?

I mean, if you want your thread private, then you choose that. (Only Contacts and Friends AND mods may review Private threads.)

Public is open for everyone.

The forums should be okay to have private threads too, though!

Try bringing it up with the admins, see if they like the idea.

That'd be my suggestion to get something like this implemented.

You and Schoko can argue back and forth, but in order to get anything actually done, talk with the admins.

Edit: Shirofan! Nice to see you, thought you had disappeared for good.

(at time of posting this, I saw that shirofan was logged in and looking at this thread. Just to clarify for everyone that sees this and so that they don't think I'm a nut.)

It's impossible to set up private threads.

I think if we could mark specific threads, and be given the option of whether we want to see these threads or not (off by default). Y'know, like anything "offense" the admins don't want people to see, we could have just us who choose to see these kinds of threads seeing them. But this is impossible.

Kinda agreein' with this. I don't think private threads will really achieve anything.

You can ignore users if you want. Ignoring a thread seems more like a simple matter of not-clicking on it :p

Yeah, we have private messaging and private social groups, so private threads I think would just be reinventing the wheel.

There you got your "No."

It lacks logic.

Private threads are more useful than PMs in cases where you need to have more than one participant.
