while you could probably come to the conclusion that "cave story 2 confirmed", i don't think it really makes much sense.
pretty sure the guys at nicalis have just been making some cave story fan content, based on the fact that most of this stuff isn't really connected in any way, nor is it an actual announcement.

Just like Espeon said, it isn't a new thing for NICALiS to post artwork like this. Often times people freak out and jump to conclusions about a new game being made, when in reality it's just NICALiS showing off some artwork that they found cool.

 

We're still going to be getting threads like this for whatever the next picture Nicalis will be posting, we should really make a master thread for "teasers" like this.

they(?) made various guns, and now we're seeing one used in a more completed shot/mockup.

 

I highly doubt anime Quote and "Airquote" are from the same game, it's more likely that anime Quote was some neat stuff that they wanted to show off like it was said earlier and Airquote is going to be in an actual game.

It is not like NICALiS is going to release NEW WEAPONS or NEW CHARACTERS. It's strange they RT a tweet they tweeted last year but this is NICALiS we are talking about. NICALiS changed HUZZAH to OH YEAH and named Ikachan "Joey".

We already have plenary of threads for discussion of pre-existing NICALiS ports, this is not one of them. This is for teases of upcoming games/ports.
