Nicalis Down?

Mebbe they closed the site for economic reasons? Those admins there recieved a payment for maintaining those sites, which wasn`t paying off since their forums where pretty dead. They could be reordinated to do some different job in the company.

But if they did something that drastic, should they have posted at least something on their main site (which is still running?). It would be weird if they thought no one was going to notice.

 

We'll have the blog and forums back up soon. Also, we're still working on final fixes for the EU version of Cave Story so hang on.

No. The patch is unrelated. They were just giving us a mini update on twitter since they can't post it on the blog since it is down and all.

Whew, this saved my day. I had already thought about not getting Cave Story Wii in Europe. Wii from US would have cost a lot ;-;

I informed tyrone about the injection attack a couple of days ago, so it is probably just down until they fix the problem.

Eh, I wouldn't say dead, dead. Not yet, anyways.

Again, Nicalis.com has been hit with some sort of code (SQL) injection attack. (or they got hacked, if you will) It's gotten pretty bad, preventing the site to load up correctly, and in some cases, spreading other forms of malware to visitors.

...and the above is just assumptions from the limited knowledge I have about such topics. I'm probably wrong somewhere in the statements above, so feel free to fix it!

More than likely, the site has been taken down temporarily, whether be it by Nicalis or their website host. Once they fix whatever the attack has done, I'm sure they'll be up and running again.

The Nicalis.com domain seems to have been taken down as well, by the way. (Cavestory.com is still up, however)
