I just read it as GEAR-A-CHEEZUR (GIRaCHEEZER instead of GIRakaCHEEZER). I know it isn't correct since I am dropping two letters, but it certainly is easier on the tongue, being an easy flowing 4 syllables instead of a disjointed 5 or 6.
Or just call him GIR like the rest of us.

There are multiple different ways to pronounce something in English based solely on how it is spelt. I wouldn't be too concerned about the accuracy of your pronunciation of a made up word.

uhh so how exactly IS it pronounced? I always read is as grr-A-k-a-cheezer. But apparently everyone says it's "gear."

"Grr" is the correct pronounciation, but "gear" has been gaining popularity ever since that one video which I can no longer find a link to.
