Look for a thread titled "Quotes Cap", its about the 2003 BETA of cave story and it is quite obvious that Pixel did a major change to the story (or heaps of minor ones) to get it to where it is now. You could ask him on his BBS if you want, I personally think that the story started off simple and slowly evolved.

I think tamers (season 3 english) was the best followed closely by savers (season 5 japanese). Frontier (season 4) sucked badly and adventure (seasons 1 & 2) needed some sort of a plot. Yay for two of the best seasons of digimon (especially season 3). Yeah I am into digimon at the moment, watching digimon savers right now. :eek:

 

I think Season 1 was the best personally. Haven't watched Savers, but from the first four, to me, it seems it was going good to worse.

Are you kidding? Season 3 was the best season ever, you really get attached to the characters and it has more of a plot than season 1 did. Savers is more of a teen-adult series than the other seasons and has memorable characters and an interesting plot (so far). Season 4 was utter crap with forgettable characters, no human to digimon relationships, and a plot that a child could have come up with. Season 1 kept you watching even with its lack of plot (more like multiple storylines strung together) it kept you interested in all other aspects. Season 2 felt too much like a spin-off and leaves you yearning for Season 1 stuff, but sorta had a plot and decent characters so I can't complain much.

All seasons from 3 and upwards have their own story separate from seasons 1 & 2.

To sum it up:
Season 1 = Great
Season 2 = Alright
Season 3 = Awesome
Season 4 = Utter Crap
Season 5 = Great

Evolution works differently in Digimon, quit acting like digimon is a rip, it isn't. The one games series I could say was a rip of pokemon would be the Telefang games (Was never translated to english).

If you are fans of both digimon and pokemon like I am you would understand the difference between the two. Pokemon isn't the only game to use the evolution concept, Lufia 2 used it. Apart from the evolution and creature side of it there is no simularity to pokemon whatsoever.

Aw, I didn't mean to heat things up so much, I know I'm in no position to comment, not having watched a single minute of Digimon. It's just that there's a lot in common, and judging by the animation styles, I guess Pokemon was first to be released. But the name "Digimon" itself suggests that there has to be some teeny thing taken from Poke. Don't get me wrong, I don't give a damn about Pokemon, not after Nintendo earned more than the one who's idea it was.

 

Can't we all just accept that every single anime series is made by 6 1/2 men in a thinktank somewhere in southern Utah?
