I'd be inclined to say yes, but that would be unfair to the users who no longer visit the forum (Xaser, for example).

 

Sure you can vote for yourself. If only you found enjoyment in your own creation then it wouldn't be on this list in the first place. Whether it is your mod or someone else's, just vote for what you honestly feel. If you enjoy your own mod over the other listed mods then go for it.

WTF all day everyday. Unfortunately I haven't played Redesign at all besides that one terrible re-skin involving Mario or something it was dumb. I'm only hearing good things about it, so I suppose I'll have to play it soon.

And wow I'm happy people voted for CSxMM, although I really don't think it deserves to be a contender considering it's not as lengthy or as fleshed-out as the others.

More like 19/20. Sadly no, Cave Story redesign isn't finished and the creator has been inactive for over 2 years now.

But yeah, I'm expecting to see some actual competition in the votes next time around since by then we will have gotten through Zarrot's JN which is very recent, and WTF? Story which has a very large fanbase.

 

Fucking Schism man, that mod is so old that I played it during the Perestroyka (late soviet times, when Gorbachev was in charge). And I'll never forget it. The guy who made it is a true master of theatre. Because that's what the cut scenes felt like. Theatre. He could REALLY set the mood in his mod. And yet still I only remember fragments of the mod. I'll have to play it again. To remember.

Anyone know if he actually finished it? I remember there was a cutscene at the end where everyone was driving in a car (again, theatre-like) and that's it. Did he continue or was that it?

 

He never finished it, unfortunately. Every time I've see him (once in a blue moon) he's said he's still working on it but ehh, who knows.

 

I'm gonna have to start a tradition of being mean to the winner and streaming their mod. Though I'll probably be a bit nicer this time.
