Sonic seems like a much more stable character than Mario... Mario ends up different in every game that I've seen him in. At least with Sonic games they usually seem like the same universe sorta.
Sonic also talks a lot more than Mario... xD

Sonic although mario is a good game and has some fun and challenging hacks
Sonic was the first game I ever played and will always be my favourite
As well as sonic seems to have a different story line each game
whereas Mario its always the princess is captured save her
Even if Sonics story lines always seem to involve Eggman trying to steal the chaos emeralds

I am so torn D:
It just depends on what I'm interested right now. I always loved both of them. It's either a good quality platformer or a good quality speed rail hedgehog thing. I always fell like playing both of them, unless it's a Zelda game.
So right now, Bunny Link wins.

Even though Super Mario Bros. was the game that really got me into the whole retro gaming thing, spending hours upon hours of playing Sonic 2 and Sonic Adventure DX is really what matters.

Lol'ed at the ten badges picture. I'd have to say my favorite is Mario, but I haven't really liked the newer games. The "Latest" one I played that I actually enjoyed was SM64. Sonic I've played like 2 games, and I didn't really like one of them, so he's out of the running for me.

I'd say Mario because for the last few years, SEGA has been making less good sonic gamesvfor a while. While nintendo is still making mario fans happy with the series. I especially like the paper mario series.

Meh, I try to skirt around this, but sonic. They seem to be trying to branch out of it's old, "need for speed" path. Sonic the werehog for example.

I one of the people who likes change in stuff even though it disliked by others. And I take negativity toward me and things I like as a compliment. You hating on SU means that a least you noticed how much the game had changed. Mario been doing the same thing for years in his actual mainstream.
