what's with the .rdy dokutsu upload site? why are we using it when it's intended for Japanese people? i never really understood it.
I've not uploaded Legacy there yet in fear of it being ridiculed...

I really like where your project is headed. I never used the mapping function in the original game, but I found it very useful in your game! I also enjoyed the multitude of bots on the ship! Though I was confused as to who the general was and spent a long time making sure i talked to every single bot, forgetting about Quote in the other room..
Keep up the work and we will have a very competent and fun game! I can't wait to see the finished result!

Don't be so harsh on yourself, especially when it is shaping up so well. Maybe AGTP will translate it back into japanese when you are done??

i ditched the "shield", it made the health system too complicated. there's a score now too, and "- -" placemarks in non-used TURR slots.

...it's the number of bombs that you have. (duh) it's red becuase in the concept, you don't have any
typically in shmups there's a "clear-all" limited weapon. i'm planning for the bomb in BiZ works a bit different than usual, though, i want it to sort of clear a cross-hair line of enemies instead of the whole screen.

Cool! SHMUPs are my favorite = ) What language will you be using to program it?
Also, is it going to be like a Bullet Hell shmup or a more Old School style?
One more question, will you be using the old school scoring system, or some crazy nonsense like Ibara?

it's going to be an exe, and it's just going to be how i like to do it...
it's underwater, so it'll be floaty with alot of drag to it, but later on you can get a power-up that reduces drag. point system is however i feel.

AND

i've got the HP bar working~ i'm on the first steps to BiZ working.

Which is best? [Legacy Story, help]

I've been getting some more work done on Legacy recently, and I thought a re-vamp of the HUD was in order, the older one is good but doesn't fit the style very well. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do though...

Heh. And here I suspected you had lost interest in CS and dropped your mod. Turns out you just get stuck on the tiniest details.
I do the same. I spent more than an hour on two sprite frames today, for example. It was silly.

I say go for 2, 3 or 4. I can't really tell the difference without staring.

On topic though, I can't really say which is best. I can't really tell the difference, they all look cool to me.
