Here's what I got so far. You don't need another copy of Cave Story to play, everything is in the zipped folder.
It doesn't go far, but I am still working on it...
There are two bugs that I know of, but just am too lazy to fix right now. They're not a huge deal anyway, one of them just has an item reappearing if you come into a room over and over again, and the other is just something wrong with the text, i put it a bit too long.
It took a while to put in everything according to what the player could or couldn't do, like taking your gun or leaving the body (you'll see)... but It is fun to see it all come together. ^^
As per usual, leave feedback and tell me about bugs i didn't catch...

So far i really like it (right now Im trying to beat the dragon boss before jumping off the ship) only thing i dislike is not being able to save while the ships exloding.

I know, I only do that in games I don't care for tho. In games I like, I always explore where I'm not sposed to go first, after that, I go where I should go.Nator said:

I loved it all the way till the point where it ended : (
I like how the dragon fight was, where the platform is just low enough for them to smash you. And I found the hidden weapon too :eek:
Also liked the water part with the bubble, very cool idea.

NO DOT POINTS! WOW IT'S A MIRACLE. ALSO WATCH OUT FOR SPOILERS.
Basically what everybody else said >.> The sprites look really spiffy, and the intro on the ship had a really nice feel to it. I enjoyed many of the comments in there :eek: (I THINK THEY LOOK LIKE COFFEE). The only qualm I have is that it ends so suddenly (Oh look a fire, all of my friends died :eek: ), and that it would result in players 'missing' the items you can only get afterwards, since one in particular seems kind of important... enter Kate. I liked the Entry Cave level; not that hard, but plenty of space of explore and stuff to find, and some nice ideas too (i.e. air bubbles etc, though the random deathpit seemed a bit iffy).
Sorry if I'm sounding a bit nitpicky, overall I really enjoyed it and it should turn into a great mod. I especially liked how you made the Life Capsules optional, and how you help the player along (e.g. Kate's hint in that last cave). So... nice job! Or something. Damnit all my compliments sound the same.

I'm getting mixed messages about the Life Caps being optional, though. It was intended so that if a 3HP runner accidentally picked one up, they could still not use it.

I think you 250 is too much ammo for the machine gun. Since it gets is ammo back automaticaly, i'd suggest it only comes with about 50 max. Unless you end up changing it so its only available later in the game.
