Ok, so Landonpeanut, Cultr1 and I are playing this really good game, because we're cool like that. At any rate, it's like... A one-player RTS? RPG? I don't know, but it's more fun than a lot of things... Like meth. Meth. Do it man...

Clarification, though. The game is akin to Warcraft, if you only controlled your one hero and that's it. It's still online multiplayer, and still an overhead view.
Graphics aren't bad either.

It's very similar to Dota, especially as much of the original Dota design team is responsible for LoL. I do (don't hate me for this) enjoy the removal of denying. Sorry for anyone for likes that in Hon or Dota, I just find it to make games too defensive. Anyhow, I (strangely) do enjoy the fact that you have to work more to play different champions. It really makes you deliberate on what champions you want to buy, ect.

If you enjoy it then by all means. Having access to all the heroes in HoN isnt a bad thing, it means you always have a large variety of heroes to play and wont see the same ones played all the time(LoL has certain heroes available during the week right?).
I'm not trying to bash LoL or anything i just honestly prefer alot of the game play mechanics HoN has in place compared to the ones that LoL has or has a lack of. Not having denying is fine if you dont mine removing a way to get a advantage over your opponents. .-.


Buuut ill stop, i dont want to go into a full blown discussion as that would be rude of me considering this is a LoL thread. Laugh out loud

 

I disagree, I'd say a healthy debate would be good for the thread.

I actually like the rotation mechanic, because it forces most players to develop skills at the game instead of picking favorites and rolling with them, until you have enough points to unlock a character permanently. At that point the player is inclined to not pick favorites, from their previous training.

Oh, and I have a long weekend due to Memorial Day, so I'm going to play this game tonight. I'll edit this post and give a review sort of thing (although I think I did say that earlier) when I get around to it.

I have no idea why this is in the general gaming section, as it is, in fact, a freeware game.

I'm working on assembling a League of Legends team, and I was wondering if anyone on the forums has any interest in this game at all.
If not, cool, I can go other places, but just wondering.

 

The fact that there's content you can only get by paying for it I think voids it of being freeware in my eyes. We'd have to call MapleStory and even WoW freeware then, which I guess technically they are.

[EDIT]: I believe a more fitting term is Shareware.
