I don't blame you for not reading the whole thread. To be honest, it's not worth it, unless you're sadistic and you think it's funny. But here's the sad history of the Light Side, and why it's full of fail and AIDS:
Whyme, a brainless spammer who's been around for quite a while as AAKid, G. Freemaan, and who knows what else, created the Dark Side. Some time after that, I came along and create the Light Side just for kicks, and maybe to be helpful. Some people joined, I brought awesomeness into it, and all was good. Then I decided to give the Light Side a present, which was
this picture. Then shit went down.
Lowell, who is now the head of the Light Side, reported the picture and it was deleted, I assume by andwhyisit, but that's his job. I didn't have a problem with andwhy. But I was pissed off at Lowell for being a prude and destroying my present. So he went on and on about respect, got me even more pissed off, and once Jacob heard that Lowell had gotten rid of some "porn", he got pissed off too. A massive flamewar started in this thread, which aws doing okay up until then. Friendships were
riven, and I tried to make the Light Side more serious. I failed, and Lowell never got off his high horse, so even more flaming ensued.
Maybe I'm missing part of it, but this is the next important part: Kageryushin joined the argument, mostly to call everyone a dumb fag, but in a much more long-winded way. Lowell and I tried to get rid of him, but Jacob didn't even try to stop Kage. He has his reasons. So Kage's flaming pretty much took away my will to even have a Light Side, since I could see it wouldn't help the forums. I gave it over to Lowell, who fucked it up to the state it's in today.
Along the way, two new sides were created, the Kage side, the REAL opposite of the Light Side, and the Twilight Side, which DragonBoots created to feel special, and then I joined because I thought maybe it would be cool but it's pretty lame.
TL;DR don't join any Side.
