Is Pixel's BBS now private?

I can't see the BBS messages for days + there is an "admin" password added:

Maybe the trolls went too far so he made his BBS private

 

I noticed that yesterday as well. I hope he's doing okay, going silent after announcing the delayment of Gero Blaster.


He probably deserves some privacy for awhile.

Why would anyone even want a cave story 2

 

I noticed some strange questions on the BBS as well. And with some of the same questions being recycled, perhaps BBS should be on hiatus.

It's probably been too long a wait for a sequel, with all the mods, fabrics and people's overall conceptions of how the story continues. There's something special about games/etc. that don't follow up: they allow the fanbase, in turn, to do it for them.

 

I completely agree. A canon cave story 2 would ruin half the mods on the forums.

 

Unless Pixel decides to go with a spinoff.

Actually, that's a good point- another semi-unrelated game in the same universe would be pretty great.

 

I suppose we can't blame Pixel for temporarily(?) closing his BBS. The unlearned are often the loudest.

And while I think a Cave Story 2 might not be as nice as Cave Story 1, a spinoff would be lovely. c:

...maybe that's what Gero Blaster is kinda trying to fill?

In fairness, that message was added at 1:48 PM, apparently. Depending on how the timezones add up, he could have added it after you messaged him.

 

It didn't before. He put that up since this thread was created. Depending upon when the email was replied to versus when it was read and posted that message could have been in response to Fatih's email. I know that there's at least 5hrs difference between the post date and the message posting..

Scratch that, there's only a 1 hour difference between my timezone and Japan's. So that's ~14 hours difference between Fatih's post and the message.

Too many false positives. For instance your own post would be filtered despite having nothing to do with a sequel. A filter for "cave story 2" and "sequel" would work better.
