i want a cave story prequel mod but it better not be a bad mod and it goota has a ending where quote gets put in stasis for 10 years within start point
and its gotta have a title screen that says cave story prequel

Honestly, it'll help you more if you make your own, like what 2dbro said. That way, you'll have more creative freedom with how the mod goes and whatnot.

This idea has been jumped around a million times, but that doesn't mean there's still potential in it all; you can have a prequel define itself for cave story's universe as: any point in the lore prior to Quote's awakening in Vanilla CS. Some ideas that have been passed around include:
- Quote & Curly Vs. (Probably) Miakid
- The Doctor's gambit to power
- The research team prior to the Doctor finding the crown
- Sue's family
- The Robot war prior to Quote and Curly being dispatched
- The creation of the Demon Crown
- The previous Crown Bearers
- Ballos prior to going mad
- Jenka and Misery's relationship before CS
- Ballos' fury awaiting in the BSS
- The inhabitants on The Island before and during the Robot War
There's lots of possibilities, just pick one I listed here or make up your own, they don't have to be cannon, but it makes sense to try and fit it into the cannon as much as possible.
