Hello! This is my first post on this forum. I'm not active at all, but I'm love Cave Story and it's music. Some time ago I found out about Piyo Piyo and am now using it to make the OST of my dream game.

The problem is, I had to search the hell out of Internet to get to even open the program, since it doesn't have any proper documentation at all.

So I decided to do one myself, inspired by Buzinkai's PXtone tutorial. It covers the instalation process and how make to make it works, as well getting on the interface and such. I hope this tutorial may serves well to anyone who's interested in using Piyo Piyo, because I trully love this program and would like to more people to know and use it.

Have a good read! :D

Oh hey, I've seen your music on Youtube! Just had a look at your website and it looks cool :D
Your Piyopiyo tutorial is nice and in-depth. It's too bad no one really uses it nowadays, it's good for achieving a specific style but is indeed rather limited and somewhat hard to actually compose in. Still, I hope more people step up and make some sick piyopiyo tunes, maybe your efforts will help popularise the format a little more!

Hey, I think I remember you from my CS inspired music, is that right? Nice to see you again! :DD

Thank you so much for reading! Agreed, Piyo Piyo is kind of a headache to use TvT But I find it to be so fascinating! There is something in those echo-ish soundwaves that just emanates such a strong aura LMAO I like the limited aspect of it, as well... I've seen someone here who "demastered" some of the Cave Story OST into Piyo Piyo and they worked quite well with it, by composing additional layers in different PMD files and then just layering it all together in Audacity. While it's probably TOO MUCH effort, I personally think the exquisite aesthetic value is worth it. Idk maybe I'm just crazy LOL

I'd surely like if more people used it! I heard that there were a Piyo Piyo dedicated Discord server (now long gone), and I wish I could be there...

Once again, thank you so much for reading (and commenting)! ^^
