Sure it was in-key, but...

 

Wedge is sort of right. It's certainly not the worse song ever written but it does have some of the worst lyrics I've ever hear which I guess is what made the song so popular.

I think that the Black Out Band for example, are a hell of a lot worse than Rebecca Black.

Also I think she's copping a lot more flack than she deserves really. I mean she didn't write the song. That was just the Ark Music Factory. If you look at some of the other songs they've produced, you'll find an abundance of mediocrity but none (At least none that I've found) have been as horribly written as Friday.

 

Actually I read somewhere that she did write it, but yeah if anyone thinks this is truly horrible then just remember that this is a world in which such a thing as noisecore exists

According to Wikipedia, the song was written by Clarence Jay and Patrice Wilson, who work closely with Ark but are not actually a part of it, so my mistake their.

I think the worst thing about it is how over-publicized it has become. A couple of weeks ago, I could barely go anywhere without hearing it. Even my dad had heard of it. And you know what it's like when you're parents are somewhat in touch with internet memes. (Even though it has extensively broken from the internet I suppose.)

It's not always a bad thing. My dad grew up a gamer and still is, knows how to troll, says "lololololololol" online sometimes, says "u mad bro?" and stuff like that. It doesn't bother me, I actually think it's pretty awesome.

 

My dad is too old to have grown up as a gamer. He recently bought an i-phone and now he's slightly in touch with the internet.
