Regardless of whether or not you animate the flames in the level 2 bucket, their tips should still point back (that is, toward the player character, which is where they're being blown due to air resistance) as in the case of this barbecue fire.

I'm guessing that it's being blown by wind. I wasn't in England to see it when the picture was taken.

So something like this, I suppose.

I dunno, but the slashes will make no sense...

The slashes would make perfect sense if the flaming Chinfish explode upon contact.

I still need to know the size of the slashes, if someone could post an image of the area used for the slashes with the unused area in white, that'd be great.

Whut. No, I mean the slashes are chinfish, with darker skin from being in a flaming bucket.

And by size, I mean the area used to display the sprite.

The slashes are 24 x 24 pixels in size, starting on 0, 64 on the bullet.pbm. If you ever need to find out how big something is, just remember that A) the computer has each frame as a square. B) Most people will use even, mathematical numbers, especially pixel (he likes to use 8, 16, 24, 32... mostly powers of 2 though). C) Each frame will be the same size most likely.

Nor do I, but I meant we could have the bucket explode on impact, lol. That is a good idea though, like it's self destructing on it way to impact :p

I can read basic hex, but I'm not good enough to do ID'ing and such...Yet...

Well, damn. No wonder it was so hard to position the level 2 bucket, I had the sprites as buckets in 22x22 squares.

Now there's only the problem of the color palette for bullet.pbm
I can't find a color that's close to black without being noticeable.

hm, perhaps a very dark gray? I dunno, I can't remember the color sceme of the game...

EDIT: Also, we may have to talk with you about a certain mod, lol. though the idea is still forming, lol

I'm talking about the color palette for bullet.pbm, the darkest color I can find isn't dark enough.

Well, you could use the darkest blue that's seen in the king sprite on bullet.pbm. Or you could save it as a 24-bit bitmap pbm, which gives you access to all the colours. Your choice.

[Edit]: Also, you could open the bullet.pbm in Cave Editor, and change the colors that the palette uses.

Well, I didn't want to edit the palette, but it seems that that's my only choice.

Our hero decides to finish his Bucket training at the Egg Corridor.

Chinfish's skin is darker.

If you take orders for other weapons, I think that the Rocket Launcher stand-in should shoot fish. Makes sense for Kanpachi to collect fishies, no?

Lol, but shooting them seems to be the opposite of collect. Make him fish slap them with one of the fish from the main artery.

Lol, lv 3: slaps melee range target (3 spaces) with Ironhead.

My point is that Rocket Launcher is the only weapon that you can collect the ammo for.

I actually forgot all about that, my Rocket Launcher is just used as a last resort weapon. Times used SINCE I picked it up: 4

2 of those in hell. lol

I suffer from the Antidote Effect; don't want to use the launcher since I may need it later, so I only use it when I know I'll be able to replenish the rockets afterwards (or when I really need to).

Actually that's an idea I had before i read this post.
But this doesn't really have much to do with Kanpachi, see the "Yay for Kanpachi" thread for that.
