there has been theese types of games happining on all of the cool forums so i guess all the cool gus r doing it (only a joke)

well it works like this

cave story should of ended like this... mahin eat a red flower by mistake and killed quote and curly after they defeated ballos cas mahin was too fat to fit in the chopper to escscape died and found himself in hell!!!!

With Kazuma failing to catch you. You fall to the ground, but it's okay because there's no fall damage.

Either way, Cave Story should have ended without the cop-out at the good ending where they show that everyone on the island is fine after crashing into the Earth (Balrog taking care of Gaudis in the Labyrinth, Booster saying hi to Jenka, etc.). Everything on the island would most likely be dead after that.

Also there should be a fourth ending, the worst of them. Like Quote dies or goes evil with the crown on his head.

Since this needs to be a "valid" post with some content, here's another theory of how Cave Story should have ended.

Quote, Curly and Balrog escape the Island, and when they get to their new abode, Quote makes a FreeWare game called Cave Story. A year after being made, Quote Googles Cave Story and finds the Tribute Site Forums.

Cave Story shouldn't have ended. But if it did, it should have been with Jenka revealing that the entire game was a plot for freeing her from keeping the island afloat, and by saving it you've doomed her. She then attacks you, but Misery shows up to help, and balrog is helping too, and It's EX Jenka vs you four, and what did I just type.

I always took that as a sad flashback meant showing you all the people who either died long ago (like probably-not-Balrog, who almost certainly is Puu Black), during the game itself (like King), or fell with the island (like Jenka and Booster).
Just like the short "Break Down" interlude showing all those cute island inhabitants whom you sent into a painful death.
