help!!

i am so stuck in the game. i cant figure out what to do next! i got so frustrated that i read all three walkthroughs but it seems that i have done everything necessary to advance. currently i am in grasstown, i beat balrog, have the charcoal, have jelly juice and i even have the bubbler. according to the walkthroughs, all i have to do is talk to the guy through the crack maybe twice and he should give me the gum key but he just says "please let me out" all the time. does anybody have any suggestions for what i should do?

 

Try opening the door of the building. Then talk to Kazuma again.

 

yeah, i tried that. i have also talked to every person i can reach in the game a few times hoping that it would influence a different response but that didnt work either

 

I think you have to complete Chaco's side quest first.

Edit - Did you get Santa's Key yet? Got fireball from him yet? o.o

You don't get a key from santa. You help Santa get his house key, which appearantly, you've already done.

Well, since you've got the rusty key now, you should try the key on Kazuma's locked door. Then maybe he will give you further instructions.

edit - OH YES! IMPORTANT POINT! You know the little crack where the "HEY!" speech bubble pops out from? Talk into the crack.

 

yes, i've done all this. i already have the charcoal and stuff too. does any character at any point actually tell me that i need charcoal, jelly juice and gum base?

If you ask me, you already have the key. Look for the door where it goes to. Explore the whole of Grasstown to find the door. Prepare for a boss fight like none other you have faced.

I don't think you get it. Lets backtrack a bit

Beat the big toaster thing (AKA BALROG)
Pull out the dumb robot thing (AKA MALCO)
Talk to it.
Learn about gum base, charcoal and jellyfish juice.
TALK TO THE GUY TRAPPED IN THROUGH THE CRACK.
Take the key.
SAVE.
Enter the door at the rightmost part of grasstown.

Do it IN THAT ORDER, saving your game EACH TIME.
