The vengeful soul of Lurgreaver strikes again!

I noticed that my archive page on Filesip wouldn't open after I had signed in about 3 days ago... I thought it was exactly what happened to my Esnips account (Of course there, it won't let me sign-in on Esnips, like I was banned for posting mods I've made on Wildtangent's FATE. Other people have done it, too, and they're not banned!)... But it seems it was more to it than that. How sad to see Filesip just suddenly 'vanish' into thin air...

By vanish, I meant the site still opens, but it's not Filesip's home page. I only got to use it for a few days, too... Someone might revive it sometime, if all goes well.

I think that Phantom Wyvern, Lurgreaver, may've devoured Filesip through my Sign-in page... It somehow made its way into cyberspace shortly after I defeated it on FATE, and has been terrorizing one webpage after another... Maybe that's why some Anti-virus software considers WT products to be spyware...

Okay, that whole "Lurgreaver in cyberspace" thing was something I made up, but I still wish some sites just won't die after I visit them...

Other dead sites

BullDOG Games (Now revived as Jrip Productions)
Judgespear's Youtube Account (Some content revived under Judgespear2)
worldoffate.com
Aerisonline.com
mmcafe's Final Fantasy 7 content (That's been down a long time, however)
bastilashan.com (Now a part of Old-Republic.com)
Taijiya no Isamu; A shrine to Sango
Just about every Azure Dreams ROM page availible before I even get there!

Still, on a somewhat related note, Lurgreaver can't be responsible for the disappearance of the ORIGINAL version of Spongebob Squarepants' "Just One Bite" episode... Man, I miss that one so much...

Yay, someone else likes spongebob. I'll check to see if I have that episode lying around somewhere when I get home.

EDIT: Oh wait, original version? Probably don't have it then. What is the difference between the two versions?

EDIT2: Oh a deleted scene.

EDIT3:
Here you go:

But my mp3s... they took forever to upload. :D

Nope. Jade Cocoon for the PS2, great game.

Looked up Cocoron, sounds like a nice game.

it is, especially since you can create a cat with tank treads :p and the gameplay isn't bad either.

You mean like this cat?

(And no, I am not Kevin Rose, nor is this my own image...)

EDIT: Filesip lives again! Seriously!

So the phantom wyvern in Cyberspace didn't corrupt it, after all. What a relief... All of our stored files there will need to be uploaded again, however.

The only problem is, I can't get an activation Email from there. I've even resent the information twice.

o.o
Why can't I get an activation Email?
Why?
-_-
Of course, nobody's going to notice this update without thread bumping or search results...

2nd EDIT: Nevermind. It died again months back, but I kept forgetting to update this...

Sorry for bump but I found a really awesome filehost:
http://www.filedropper.com
Also: Filesip is dead.
The best indirect linking file sharing service is mediafire. Every single file I have uploaded with them is still there, unlike other services, with a download link appearing in just a few seconds.

Oh and Filesip died a long time ago.

That's because if you still have your account, you still have your internet uploading space in MediaFire. It's like having your own 'My Documents' on the internet, just that it is made accesible to anyone.

www.mediafire.com

Oh look. It's shameless plugging. :D

The reason why most file uploading services do not like to keep your files up is because every download costs bandwidth and more bandwidth costs more money.

Oh and you forgot the "http://" in your link.

Are there any good free, direct linking services that you guys can recommend?
Sorry. You basically only have the choice of either "direct linking" or "good service" for free really, not both. Direct linking means that the sites are not making money from advertising. That is why Filesip went under.

FileDropper or eSnips for me then.
@Schoko:
That would be nice but I'm actually looking for a file hoster for all my random crap, not just CS stuff.
