This is the talk Pixel gave in Game Developer Conference 2011.
It was archived in GDC Vault since 2011 but it required an annual pass that costs around 500USD to access.
And they just made it freely accessible yesterday.
Probably because Pixel attended PAX East 2014 last week and showed the playable demo of Kero Blaster.

He talked about his general philosophy about game development and showed the "beta version" of cave story in this video.
It is definitely worth watching.

Thanks for sharing that! It's definitely worth seeing Pixel speaking at length about Cave Story's creation. (Translated!)

The beta version really kinda bothers me though... I want it released even more now... xD

It was a pleasant viewing, though I'm pretty sure the English translation sadly only offers parts of the full talk (she stumbled and skipped around a lot).

Learned a few things I would have never noticed that went into the development (like his philosophy on using a large amount of SFX).
The Beta Info was nice (No one could have guessed that you could play as a Frog Prince that can swim against the stream).
And it's pretty funny that Pixel himself couldn't beat the Sanctuary stage for his recordings.

Wish It had better English support, but definitely a good video with new information.
