The first two came from Sydney Australia, the next one's from Reston Virginia in the US, the next is from Germany (Eschborn, I think), the next is also from Germany (city of origin unspecified), and the next one's from Canberra Australia.
One way to get around that IP checking would be to set up a proxy that everybody (including the owner) uploads through, so it looks as if all the downloads are coming from the same location. But I digress; be more careful next time.

I have my own means of hosting files for my own purposes, and I'm quite content with the fact that 1) I set it up myself 2) I maintain it myself 3) it belongs solely to myself and 4) it's free, doesn't even have ads, and doesn't require a web browser to use. I use it so people can beta test my games, so I can find notes to myself across computers, and so I don't have to steal bandwidth when I use images from other sites.
I'm the type of guy that encourages people to find solutions to suit their own needs. So sue me; you're only as good as the fruits of your labor. I provided the WHOIS info to help figure out who the IPs belong to. If you don't care, then I guess I don't either. Doesn't that make you feel special?

Thats not relevant. it mostly depends on your upload speed.
maybe rs was overloaded. but thats rare.

If you're tired of asking, you could just use something else. I use Dropbox, which lets you host 2 GB of files free, among other things, like synchronizing said files across multiple computers and the internet. If you use my referral link to download and install it, we'll both get an extra 250 MB free right off the bat...
