A favorite that most Hispanics and college students share. Most notable are Maruchan and Nissin.

Which brand is your favorite?

And which flavor? (this isn't in the poll)

Well isn't this a thread.

Back when my family bought ramen we did Maruchan. I liked shrimp as a wee lad, but now I am a fan of the chicken flavor. With lots of cheese. Also I prefer to cook my noodles for a longer time so they are mushy and spaghetti like instead of curly and hard.

The flavoring in ramen has like a day+ worth of sodium, so make sure you drink plenty of water and eat ramen only occasionally! :D

I usually get maruchan but I'm not picky.

I don't even really care what flavor it is, I just cook it up al dente and drain the broth so it's just got a bit of saltiness left and butter that shit right up

oh man I forgot to mention how I cook mine, you're probably going to think I'm crazy
so what I do is cook the noodles until they break up / can be separated, then pour out all the water.
Then I dump em' into a bowl with the saltpowder at the bottom and mix it up until it's evenly coated. This way I get the maximum amount of flavour at once.

I throw away the flavouring sachet, boil the noodles, drain the noodles, then add that stir fry or chicken mornay I finished cooking minutes earlier.

I attend elementary school, so I just eat them raw out of the package.

Maruchan. The amount sodium is just too much for me through.

I didn't think you'd take the 12 year old act that far

When I was in high school, there were posters from Culinary Class that tell us if we don't take the class, we'll end up making ramen. As if there aren't any creative way to cook them.

I used to pour the entire flavor packet all over the raw brick and take bites out of it

My sister is in her mid-twenties and still eats the raw bricks.

I would eat the remaining raw bits that's still in the package as the brick is boiling in the water.

Shoyu ramen for the win! (For the record, that's a flavor, not a brand.)
But if I were to pick a brand...it would probably be Nissin.
I remember eating that stuff all the time in Japan...

I've heard of shoyu before, but I'm sure most haven't because they eat the STORE BOUGHT PREPACKAGED GAHBAGE

Anyway, why eat the ramen when you can eat the pho?

I'm a fan of anything savoury with a good deal of flavour, e.g. seafood, chicken, beef, soy, satay etc. Most of these include varying levels of spiciness, which I'm okay with provided it's not to the point I'm breathing fumes. Brand-wise neither of these ring a bell; the biggest 'proper' ramen company here is probably Indomie.

Ohh man I used to do that all the time. I eventually lost interest for the most part when Maggi changed their recipe to "like plastic".

Here it was that they'd clog up your intestines, but that never happened to me. Chewing gum supposedly does the same thing and I still eat loads of that so maybe I just have huge guts :muscledoc:
