Can't you just do all this testing on your own? It's the mod creator's job to do the bulk of the testing and fixing so the player can "enjoy" the finished product and point out anything the mod creator may have missed. In your case, you're shitting out updates at a constant rate with what seems to be no playtesting on your part.

 

You should really avoid spamming new mods out this quickly... finish one project before starting another.

My thoughts on this mod:

1. Generic title screen and intro sequence, again.
2. I'm pretty sure that debug cat is all but copyrighted by PolarStarGames at this point...
3. The cake is a lie.
4. The artwork that IS original is pretty good...
5. The puzzles are rather clever, I think...
6. The cat, it's alive. I should have been able to threaten Debug Cat into being sacrificed though...
7. Alright, the Debug Cat fight is a little ridiculously annoying with how low the Green Devils are. Not only that, but leveling up the Polar Star is nigh impossible, and fighting Debug Cat on that health with so little damage is really hard.
8. You really like depicting gruesome, bloody CS characters don't you?

This mod has much more potential than the last one... keep it up.

I like the smell of CS character blood on my fingertips. I was originally going to have a bloody Kazuma face sprite asking for help before dying. But I decided not to because some people may see it as 'slightly disturbing'.

It's not so much disturbing as it is really cringeworthy. Instead of being scary or serious, you just look and sound awkward.

Let the dude have his fun, we were all naive modders in the beginning. In a year he'll look back at these and think, "Geez, was I really that childish?" It happens to all of us sooner or later...

No, not at all. You should give him criticism, but just telling someone what's wrong isn't enough. You should also tell him how to fix it. But you should also let him follow what ever creative spark motivates him. If he wants to weirdly and needlessly create bloody sprites that aren't as scary as they're trying to be, let him. Just help him develop the mood better.

My suggestion to @TheVirtualBoy is to look at "Dreams of Reality 2". That mod actually had as close to a fear factor as you'll probably get with a 2D sidescroller.

EDIT: I've played DoR2. I just forgot. I remember quitting because of lame jumpscares and Sonic.exe.
