• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

A three-hp run significantly limits your time by disallowing certain shortcuts, specifically the one where you take damage bypass a time door and the final form of Ballos where you get into his eye (the low spikes only do 2 damage, but I'm pretty sure there's no way you can kill him before your flash wears off and get hit by the orbital spheres).

I think you're lying about the 3hp. And if you'd lie about that, you'd lie about the time. Also the time itself is ludicrous.

@trickybilly that would take a lot of work. You'd have to calculate the optimal route, figure out how many frames/timer update, consider enemy placement, not to mention I have no idea how you'd calculate an optimal pattern for ballos :0

I mean, if you could do that, you could probably write a HellBot to play it for you and make you look godly.

You don't actually need to go in Ballos's (ballos'?) eye to damage him in his 2nd and 3rd form. And I've seen that kind of thing done. Youtube-search for it.

I know you don't need to, but it does save time, is what I was getting at.

Isn't it sue who appears at lower than 2 minutes with generic music as compared to king and white?

So the trap screen does not use a small spiketrap for the cursor and play the Game Over music? Aww, guess I've gotten my leg pulled.

For an official speedrun...

Maybe someone could make a hack where the counter activates at the begining of the game, and would end when ballos is defeated?

counter doesn't save when you save, so it doesn't really work.
Realtime clocks seem to work fine though.

Also, official? We're fans, for gawd's sake.

It would be possible to make a clock by using a bunch of flags to save time as a binary number, right? Like, 00000000001010 stands for 9 seconds/frames...
