Ah, I see. As long as you don't die, you can load from where you left off. I guess if I really wanted to then, I could find a save point some time soon before facing the Doctor, and then copy that file, so that I can keep trying to beat the Doctor without starting back at Depth 01.

Yes, I used archive of over 2000 ORGs compiled by CSMC members.
Oh that's cool, I didn't know about this archive, but I'm not surprised it exists. Is this somewhere on Doukutsu Club, in Discord, or somewhere else?


I will look what I can do, I am not very good at TSC so it's possible than I messed up.
It's actually very simple. What most existing scripts do is they have tiles behind the door the fir doorframe, and when the event for the door triggers, it uses the <DNPXXXX command, where XXXX is the entity number for the door, usually 0100.

Regarding the door opening animations, you could alternatively use <ANPxxxx:0000:0002 to open it, and <ANPxxxx:0000:0000 to close it. (xxxx being the event number, as usual.)

That aside, from what I've read, this seems quite interesting!

I fixed that in 1.24, turned out than I forgot the event number for the door and was trying to ANP non-existing object.

1.25 is here, with new tilesets and bugfixes.

1.26 is here, with new characters and balance changes.

1.29 is released, containing a ton of QoL and bugfixes, and 2 new level bosses!
Reupload is released, fixing the critical bug with new boss.

first thing i wanted to mention was that my love-coloured master spark org landed somewhere safe and i love it

secondly, that's a pretty lovely project! i can't find any use for the mouse firing for the hook weapon, and the whimsical star simply freezes the game (no worky), but other than that i beat the game as quote and i find it enjoyable, save for the part where i have to get to the door at the end of the level because it's always so far away from me

i can't get the nice skates to work either, they make me slide but my speed is worse than if i just kept running

great work, very enjoyable! i'm looking forward to seeing what else you can make with this

I made tilesets for this because it rocks so much. I have an incredibly soft spot for the rougelike/randomly generated genre, and when this released, I instantly downloaded it and played it. One of the most rad CS mods I've seen in a while.

you can have multiple alien medals by de-equipping and re-equipping the item repeatedly
and the sue boss has no indicator on the map, leading to some confusion (if you can't spot the big rectangular room, like somebody i know)

i will add more once the items finally start loving me

I've gotta hand it to you, Trashbox. You sure are pretty good at pumping out new fixes and releases for this mod based on feedback and playtesting. It's been a long time since I saw someone here so actively working on, maintaining, and providing rapid updates in the showcase thread for their mod.

Are there any other projects you either are working on or planning on working on, or just long-term goals you have that are related to Cave Story, game design, software engineering, or anything else?

Actually, I do have GitHub page, but overall I just want to develop games (for living or not). One of plans included making Doukutsu Randamu into standalone game.
