Discovered CS on the Wii and not the PC?

Interesting you liked the original graphics better. To me, that was the ]only improvement.

 

I don't know if I would have fallen in love with Cave Story if Pixel had quadrupled the resolution, like in the Wii version. It wouldn't have had much of a retro look, which is a big reason for me loving Cave Story.
The graphics were unarguably an improvement, but you can't replace the original.
