The same ones that tell SixtySeconds it's okay to use other people's orgs in his cave story (the warship?) mod without asking permission?

Re: Discolor: My Homebrew Game

Maybe you should leave this thread now if YOU DON'T FUCKING CARE! I'm tired of coming to MiraiGamer to do something and ending up being insulted by
some sociopathic degenerate who has nothing better to do with their time than toy with the users of a forum, that he loves and has spent a great deal of time on

Then stop the provocation. And if you won't stop you will get a little time-out.

How could that stop us from remixing it, though?

Because it is not allowed by law.

You're not allowed to remix a song without permission.
Also Fire just want to provoke him. And you should know that >_>

I think you are allowed to remix a song though o: Just that royalties must be paid out to the original author if said remix was sold.

Not quite sure about the specifics though.

http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/290/must-you-get-permission-to-record-someone-elses-song <- this talks about how it should be legal to, under US copyright law.
It mostly talks about commercial music though.

You're not allowed to post it here. End of the story.

It is not under German Copyright law though, I'm 100% sure. Also it depends under which copyright law it falls and it is a grey area, it heavily depends on how much it is remixed.
Anyway, I'm not allowing to post remixes here that the author doesn't want to be produced.

Re: Discolor: My Homebrew Game

So Gardebiter, what you're saying is, remixes are illegal but putting lyrics to a song isn't? Or are they both illegal, and you were breaking the law intentionally?

That doesn't affect me, though.

What are you trying to accomplish, this isn't a law forum.

Re: Discolor: My Homebrew Game

Even if something got stolen from here, I doubt the original author could do anything. Unless of course the thief himself was more reckless than the victim. But I'm talking about serious theft, not some dude using your music in his mod. Most of us here are underage so the only thing we could do would be tell our moms about a mean old man named Herbert who stole our songs. But yeah I guess it's cool pretending we're awesome lawyers who could give the next person who pissed you off 5 years in Alabama level 4 correctional facility.
